Re: need a good 4 link

either Air Ride Tech., Kp Components, or Suicide Doors are all quality pieces.

Re: need a good 4 link

I'd suggest suicide doors for the money. I got their endlinks and bungs and they are incredibly beefy. The box w/ the adjustable endlinks and busings weighed 8 pounds alone. Incredibly good quiality and service at a great price.

Was this originally a leaf spring truck you are trying to convert?

Re: need a good 4 link

Are you wanting to install a custom 4 link? Are you looking for a bolt on application?

There is no bolt on that I'm aware of for the 67-72. In fact, the front mounts on the SD and AR will need to be modified to even weld on. This assumes a stock frame.

I have a feeling Porterbuilts backhalf he is working on will feature a bolt on 4-link, but that is total speculation.

Re: need a good 4 link

my truck is a front and rear coil spring 1/2 ton. i know i will have to do many modifications for a four link.

also i was wondering if i was put a four link in the truck. would i have to loose the cross-member that the original two link was at and build a whole new cross-member???

I'm just trying to get an idea at what I'm looking at at modifications, time, durability, and money.

but thanks to all on the feedback.

my father always said "if you done it right the first time.....you wouldn't have to do it a second time.....!!!! lol

It is a little more than just 'speculation'.

If your talking about the crossmember the trailing arms bolt to, you would just leave that crossmember as is after you remove the trailing arms. The four link has nothing to do with this crossmember. Here's a pic of my truck to give you an idea.

a parallel 4 link!!! that looks really cool

sorry i should of been more accurate on what i was trying to say on my question but on a triangulated four link do i need to build a new cross member for the center triangle bars or should i weld new brackets on the old cross-members if there long enough??

sorry first time on planning on building a rear 4 link.

Triangulate the bars from the center of the axle out towards the frame, rather than in towards a front cross member and your problem is solved there.

Some pics of mine! About $2200 installed (parts & labor). Frame 2" off ground with 22" wheels. I would look at Porterbuilt or the Art set-up if I was to do it again!
