Post rear suspension still giving me a bad time

got the rear suspension off the 79 now i find out the frame on my 72 is 36 inches wide where the front hangers would go.the 79 was 34 inches wide.anyone know what to do about this?

You have to cut off the spring perches. Buy new ones and weld them in the proper location. Good luck

why would spring perches work? then the springs would be angled in right. i thought maybe i could weld up new mounts for the front eye of the springs.under the frame instead of beside it.
