Rear Axle CL

On a 59 is the rear axle centerline the center of the bump stop? I'm getting ready to install my 4-link. Also, any opinions on mounting the 4-link on the inside of the frame compared to the outside (will be running a 10" wide wheel)?

Re: Rear Axle CL

The rear end locates 36.5 inches from the rear frame rail ends with all extensions and brackets removed. If you are going to locate it this way you need to make sure your frame is square. Take a look at http://www.webrodder.com/article.php...&SID=60&CID=11
It explains how to check square with inexpensive tools.

You can mount outside or inside outside gives you better roll on corners stability. Inside gives you better tire clearence.

If you can post some pic that would be great. I have an ART 4 link with bags I'm going to put in my 59. The rear end is a 10 bolt from a s10 4x4 with the sway bar which I'm hoping to use as well.
I think if the bars go on the outside of the frame your tire is going to hit the box before the bars unless you tub the box.
What are you using for springs? With the right back spacing I think the 10" will work ok in the fender.

Re: Rear Axle CL

I have a tri bar in mine and 13.9" tire section, I could have run a 4 bar outside and still had room
