WIW-restored Blazer chassis 4wd.

Not for sale, just thinking outloud. I have been having nagging dreams of a slammed 2wd Blazer instead of the lifted 4wd I have now. What is a fully restored and powdercoated chassis worth? I have modified the rear axle to accept '03 burb 13" discs, rebuilt rear with 3.73 posi, custom fab shackle flip kit for 4" lift, 2" lift springs up front, ORD greaseable bushings front and rear, ORD HD front shackles, rebuilt front differential with 3.73 gears. Front already converted to 71-72 disc, but have plans of modifying and installing '03 burb brakes on the front as well. New AGR steering box and dropped pitman arm. I have not bought new brake and fuel lines yet, but they are coming shortly. Basically ready to drop you drivetrain and body on and go cruising.

I would say somewhere between $600-800 going by what you said was done to it.

Wouldn't it make sense to just convert it?

I think you would get more selling it as a whole then if you would remove the 4x4 parts,and sell them then convert the chassis to 2wd.I would keep the chassis and convert it if I had just powdercoated it all.You wouldnt get the money out of selling the 4x4 chassis to get a 2wd though.I say sell it if you have a line on a 2wd,if not,convert this one.

Are you kidding? I have that much is the posi rear with disc brakes alone.

I could, but I would only be using the bare frame which don't make sense to convert to me. The rear I wouldn't use in the 2wd, don;t want the leaf setup.

As I just mentioned, it is not worth modding the powdercoated chassis because I would need to cut it up to slam it. I would sell whole and build a new chassis.

When I considered this on GQ the most anyone here said I could get for
mine was $1500 and that was if I was lucky, I bought a 2wd instead

$600-$1500 way low in my opinion. Sounds killer to me. Getting the 03 brakes to work and hookup right might be key on yours. Best bet might be to get it to a larger state wide swap meet in good weather.

Lay out your receipts to show investment. Also some new tires/wheels on it might be flashy. Many people get these early in a build process for some reason.

I added up the big dollar purchases (not included hardware and other small stuff) and I am near $2500 (not including any labor) and still want to mod the d44 to accept '03 burb front calipers and rotors. I don;t think the money is out of line but I know it is getting up the in parts alone and I have 90% of the receipts.
