Re: what did everyone get this week?

I drove my Blazer about 40 miles, and proofed out the power steering setup. Works great, no leaks, loving the 2-finger steering! Holy crap how did all the POs manage the manual steering for 38 years?!??!?!?!

Re: what did everyone get this week?

Drove 1200 miles with my son, 8 1/2 hours each way. Picked up a rusty Jimmy.

Earlier in the week I got a new tool box and mig welder.

Re: what did everyone get this week?

Went to a swap meet on saturday. picked up a cheapo $5 sunpro tach (the guy said it worked) craftsman digital electrical tester, and two amber oval led trailer lights. Cut the excess plastic off the lights and soldered old bulbs on the ends so it would plug into the bulb socket like factory. Put them in the parking lights in the front bumper. Cut a hole in the dash for the tach, wired it up, and come to find out it doesn't work oh well.

Re: what did everyone get this week?

Finally got some brake work done-installing new e-brake cables. Went pretty well:

and After

Not too bad.

Re: what did everyone get this week?

Got all of my FatMat installed. Little bigger job than I first anticipated, but at least that's one more thing off my checklist.

New stainless fuel line from the blazer tank to the fuel pump next.
