Lets compile an option list!

As far as I know, there is no exact listing of the options and codes that are original to these trucks.

So what we can do, is have everyone list what year their truck is, then the options listed in their glovebox door. This will be good to help the owners of some trucks, and add some more info to this site.

Re: Lets compile an option list!

You can also buy an accessory list and price schedule from some of the vendors. Reprint of the original used by the dealers.

If you notice, a good chunk of those options are "mutually exclusive". Lots of transmissions, engines, axles, springs there, can only have one set of them. I'm sure you could damn near fill up a sheet but I am guessing that you would have to work at it.

By the time I am done with my truck it will probably have 2x as many options as it started life with.

Re: Lets compile an option list!

Back in those days options were not mutually exclusie to pickups. So for example roof mounted air conditioning was on heavy duty trucks. So you could pare the list down to pickup only, but that also would take some time.

Re: Lets compile an option list!

Sorry it took so long, i actually forgot i was going to scan this

so here it is, the PDF was too big to post, so the following Jpegs list the options available for a 72 chevy, including option numbers and option cost.

sorry for the quality, but that's how the kit i got from GM looks. The scanner actually cleaned it up a bit.

Hopefully this helps somebody.
