brake light cuts emerg flashers?

I'm not sure if this has to do with my wiring the fender lights as blinkers (which i've gotten several props on doing), but if my emerg flashers are on and i press the brake pedal, i lose all running lights. Did i lose a ground somewhere other than on the fender lights?

everything else works fine- blinkers and brake, emerg only, brake only, running lights and blinker, running lights and emerg

Brakes stopping the hazards is normal isn't it?

Re: brake light cuts emerg flashers?

well it doesn't shut them off, it only makes ALL the running lights go out- including the ones on the roof i believe (even though they don't flash, they're still wired factory). Once i let off the brake, they start flashing again. I have the fender lights wired with the front markers so i dont think they're any part of it.

That's what I remember but my truck is stripped so can't check it out.

Re: brake light cuts emerg flashers?

I only appended the fender lights since i have a short tongue enclosed trailer and my normal tailights are impossible to see with it hitched. the roof lights are still factory wired; they don't flash. But even so, they go out if the brake pedal is pushed with flashers on.

If I recall, the hazard lights should stop flashing when the brake is applied, but not cut all the lights.
