ok first question
hello all I am new here and have the first of what I am sure will be many questions. I have a 68 longbed fleetside and was trying to remove the guage cluster the other night and could not get the choke knob off .Is there a trick to this or am I just missing some thing. I will try to post a pic of my truck tonight I don't have any here at work.

I tried holding the stem with plyers and turned maybe it is stripped. thanks

A small set screw sideways on the knob. Turn the knob or look around until you can see it. A small pocket screwdriver will get it out.
After the knob removal, the bezel unscrews from the dash.

The choke should unscrew off the shaft, just pull it out and hold it with pliers.The wiper knob should have a little set screw on the side. If you have trouble with the tight switch knob, It has a button on top of the switch that has to be pressed to release the knob and shaft.

it looks like mine has been changed so I will try again tonight .thanks I learned the leason on the light switch the hard way cost me 12 bucks oh well live and learn. I just noticed your wash/wipe is where my choke is.
