Where's all the duallys and crew cabs???
OK lets see some pics of what you got. This is the one I am building now.
This is just before I bought it. The bed is off and the single wheel rear end is out. Currently in the process of bagging it on 22's. Its a 78 camper special with a/c, tilt, tach, silverado trim. Was originaly a 454 but its a 350 4spd standard now. Got an 89 suburban for the front end parts and power windows, and a 77 2wd crew cab dually for the dually parts.

nice score, nice chance finding of a narrowed single wheel, will make the dually install a ton easier. what running gear you sticking under it?

I'll keep the 350 4spd in it for now. If it blows up are is not enough I can change it down the road, but I think its fine for now!

It's my favorite too. I had that pic for a wallpaper for a while.

Re: Where's all the duallys and crew cabs???
Nice truck, panelguy. Here's my crew cab...
1973 Chevy/GMC C2500 Custom Deluxe. It's had a rather long history, what with being flood damaged in the 70's. It's titled as a GMC, though has Chevy grille and tailgate and those parts; cab was swapped out, as was the engine and trans. The engine originally was a 350 probably (so says the missing emblem indentation on the grille, but who knows), but after the flood it was changed to a 400 V8 Blazer engine. It did have a TH350 trans, but I changed that to a 700R4 in November. The guy who had it before me used it for dragging his sprint cars to the track, and had 4.10 gears. This was insane for over 50mph without an overdrive, so I changed to 3.73 gears in November 2004 to make highway travel bearable with the TH350. It's definitely heavy duty, what with being a 3/4 ton and having 9 leaf springs in the back. It also has the camper mounts on the bumper and front of the bed.
