Re: Where's all the duallys and crew cabs???

Nice truck, panelguy. Here's my crew cab...

1973 Chevy/GMC C2500 Custom Deluxe. It's had a rather long history, what with being flood damaged in the 70's. It's titled as a GMC, though has Chevy grille and tailgate and those parts; cab was swapped out, as was the engine and trans. The engine originally was a 350 probably (so says the missing emblem indentation on the grille, but who knows), but after the flood it was changed to a 400 V8 Blazer engine. It did have a TH350 trans, but I changed that to a 700R4 in November.

The guy who had it before me used it for dragging his sprint cars to the track, and had 4.10 gears. This was insane for over 50mph without an overdrive, so I changed to 3.73 gears in November 2004 to make highway travel bearable with the TH350. It's definitely heavy duty, what with being a 3/4 ton and having 9 leaf springs in the back. It also has the camper mounts on the bumper and front of the bed.
