HELP...I need a picture of the SBC motor mount towers installed!!!!!

During assembly my motor looked awefully close to the firewall. We thought that maybe I had the towers on the wrong sides, but after raising the motor and switching the towers, I can't get the three tower holes to line up.

So if anyone has a picture of the towers installed without the motor or even with the motor, I would like to reference them to get mine installed.

Re: HELP...I need a picture of the SBC motor mount towers installed!!!!!

Do you know if your truck was an original v8? You can check buy looking at your vin plate inside the drivers door. If it starts with CCE it was a factory v8. If it is CCS it was a six. If it was a six the mounts would be mounted in the rear position toward the firwall. That puts the dist. very close to the firewall. I have posted pictures of a v8. I it was a six and you want to mount it in the v8 position you have to move foward the trans mount, trans linkage and the drive shaft has to be replace with a longer one. Good luck I hope this helps.
