quick question about carb.

are the Q-jet 2 barrels tricky to rebuild? my truck is my daily driver and I can't take the chance of starting some thing I can't finish.I am mechanicaly inclined but just never torn in to a carberator. thanks

Re: quick question about carb.

Well, a Quadra-jet by nature has 4 jets, or barrels.

you probably have a two barrel Rochester Carb, right?

If so, no they are not hard to rebuild, just get a good manual (and follow it to the T), you should be fine.

Re: quick question about carb.

none of them are to hard to rebuild just be sure you keep track of all the small parts. you might concider trying to find one at a salvage yard, rebuild it and then swap them. that way you won't kill the one you have currently if you fail in your rebuild. plus you can take your time doing it and not having to keep the truck down
