Cab mounts Slip-on or Not?

Hey guys. I know there's another thread here talking about tabco's repair panels, but this is a specific question. Should I use slip-on cab repair mounts or standard ones? I need to replace the front and rear mounts. Pro's? Cons? I have all the equipment to do them and I have done rockers and cab corners before, just never cab mounts. Any input on what you did or how you did it would be great. Thanks, .........Jerry

Re: Cab mounts Slip-on or Not?

Fix it right.Say no to "slip-ons." They`re cab supports and they`re rusted out...no support. You need new supports.

I would go with replacement...not slip on.

Re: Cab mounts Slip-on or Not?

slipons are a temp at best repair//you're just covering up rust which will just continue to get worse with time maybe resulting in needing a new frame in the short future

Re: Cab mounts Slip-on or Not?

Use some weld thru primer on them and then paint well so they don't rust again.
