I got thinking today [I know I know, bad idea!] A blazer is just a tad too short for me, while a sub is too long. GM never made a 73-87 tahoe. Has anyone ever choped a 'burb down to make a tahoe? I know it would take a lot, driveshaft mods, cutting, welding, grinding, all sorts. But it is possable right?

Now that's an idea. Expensive and technical but it would look pretty good. I would imagine you to use a sub shell an a long LWB frame or sub frame. Mostly cut the second doors or keep the doors and cut the back.

Tom, i'm definatley sure it can be done.

I saw a program, and they had a company that extended trucks, cars or whatever.

They have made 6 door Ferd SuperDutys, extended cab trucks out of regular cabs. And the list goes on and on.

They make new sections out of junkyard doors, windows etc. They cut driveshafts, chop frames, cut cabs.

I'm pretty sure they could shorten a vehicle as well.

Thought it was pretty interesting. I believe it was on the History Channel.

What a Concept, great idea! Go For It! Get out your tape measure, take notes, and look at alot of trucks. What about using a CREW CAB and grafting Blazer quarter panels (shorter than Suburban I believe), shorten the frame. Suburban roof section shortened on back, and use barn doors style instead of tailgate. Keep the Dually fenders, go with wide meats in back. Yeah thats the ticket! Keep us informed.
