am i asking for trouble trying to snug.....

275/35/20 on a 20x8.5 inch wheels. it says for 9-11 inch width wheels. from edge to edge it's about 9inches but inside its 8.5. so what do you guy think.

dont want to have uneven size tire hieght so i think i'm going to try to put that tire size on all four corners. but i want to make sure i'm not going to fk anything up in the front.

I think the 275 on a 8.5 inch rim will be ok...but as for putting them up front...I wouldn't hold my breath on it.
Just get 2 at first, and see if they rub. If thy do...go with a 255/30 or even a 255/25.
These tires will be easily damaged doing street duty in the real world with a tank ass truck on top of them.

alex,

the difference between a 245/40/20 and 275/35/20 is 1/10"

as for the 275/35 on a 8.5 im not sure

i ran a 275/50 on an 8" rim but the extra sidewall allows for that. with a 35 series tire it may be cutting it close since theres not that much sidewall to buldge.

I have 275 60's on 17 in for my truck not the chevy but my boy has 275 50 on 10in for his 70 chevy c10 looks good but we would go with the 17 I have for my 50 f1 Ford. If we were to do it again.

My boy mounts tires for the neighbor and you can probably get the tires on they use an extra air tank to force the tire on the bead. Ed ke6bnl

Think about a 255/35/20. It would fit the wheels and look good.
