Re: can someone tell me how to take rocker pans off?
Do you mean the rocker panels (rounded sheet metal under the door) or the rocker boxes (Flat metal under the body of the truck between the rocker panels and the frame)?

What Bouncy said, 1st one will be the easier of the two, both require some
skills as far as removal and replacement, have you tried using the search?

Re: can someone tell me how to take rocker pans off?
Find and either grind off or drill out the spot welds holding the parts on.
Look in your (you either have one of should get one) factory service manual, all spot weld locations are pretty well laid out in there. They make a 'spot weld removing' tool but I've never had great luck using them. Last edited by vtblazer; 03-03-2007 at 04:27 PM. |

Re: can someone tell me how to take rocker pans off?
*Outer rocker will be both bolted and welded in place.
*Inner rocker, same. *Torsion box, which contains the torsion rod (hence the name) has a removable rear panel and the rest is welded in place. As always...find a way to keep both the front and rear door pillars from moving while your replacing any or all of these parts. Last edited by vtblazer; 03-03-2007 at 04:33 PM. |

Does anyone know why these all go bad? I mean... you can take the cleanest blazer out there and still find that it need new rockers.
just curious |

Re: can someone tell me how to take rocker pans off?
The biggest issue I know about them is they hold water
