i am looking at a mid 80s SWB truck .. wondering if this frame will work under a SWB 68 cab?

just the cab, or the bed, cab, and front end? Easy answer, no. It wont bolt up. Im not sure of wheel bases, but i know that body mounts are different. Depending on your fabrication skills, it would work. I personally would try to find a 60-72 frame. actually, ive got one. but im in oregon.
