auto to 4 speed swap
besides the pedal assembly , clutch cable and trans(obviously), is there anything sles i would need to swap to a 4 speed. i know ill need to cut a hole in the trans tunnel for the shifter, but will i need a new cross member, or any other parts? im not a fan of automatics, and i think mine is gettin pretty worn out.

Re: auto to 4 speed swap
I went the other way ( manual to automatic) and based on my experience with that you'll need a manual transmission crossmember, probably driveshaft cut to length, and the clutch z-bar and associated linkage. There may be a few other tweaks, but that's close. Good luck with the project.

Re: auto to 4 speed swap
I did it to my 86 and it was pretty simple but I had a donor truck. Biggest pain for me was changing the part that the clutch and brake pedals attach to. You will have to cut out a hole for the clutch pedal rod, hole for trans shifter, cross member, holes for clutch linkage that mount on frame should already be there, differnet drive shaft if I remember. I did it in a weekend. Hope this helps. Try to find a donor truck, it would make it a lot more simple since you could see and have where everthing goes.

Re: auto to 4 speed swap
Go hydraulic if you can! The pedal set is hard to come by, but I used a manual pedal set modded for hydraulic.

Re: auto to 4 speed swap
I will be pulling out my 305/sm465(? - 4speed/granny low) tranny out of my '87 2wd in the next week or so. Putting in a 350/700r4 combo.
Will pretty much have every part you would need but honestly it would be too much of a hassle for me to send them to you with you being in Nova Scotia? I would give them to you if you paid shipping but thats some heavy parts on a big pallet. Even not including the tranny there would still be a lot of weight.
