And yet..... Another 454 c10 build

So i started my new simple project like a month ago. i just had not been around to putting stuff up in this forum. im in school right now so i will post up pictures when i get home. but my set up is a mk5 454 converted to carburetor using an eddie 2-0 performer mani. and a 750 cfm perforemmer carb from eddie as well. since the block was originally fuel injected thus not having a mechanical fuel pump ompening, i had to buy an electric one. i purchased a carter fuel pump over at lopers performance.this motr is going in a 1970 c10 longbed.i had a chance to get a shortbed, but everybody around here has those, not saying there bad, just wanna be different, lol, plus the longbed was cheaper . its kinda beat up but im gonna take car of that later.(HARDLY ANY RUST) im gonna run homemade motor mounts so i dont have to modify the tranny rail since the truck came originally with a 307. im gonna retain the th350 and gonna look to buy a th400 later on. in order to mate the 454 bolt up to the torque converter of the yh350 i had to go to hughes perofrmance and buy a mk5 454 flexplate since the prev ious gens of 454 balance different, and it plus the new one i have has a dual bolt patern for bigger tq converters. Im already taking care of the interior, my door panels are at school to make a wooden skeleton to be later rewraped with black leather. thats why i have so far. il keep you guys updated. PICS WHEN I GET HOME FROM SCHOOL

Good luck with your resto/upgrade. You're going to love that 454's performance.

Mine has a setup similar to yours and I just love it. It really scats with the 750 Holley/Th400/3.73 Posi in it.

I'm redoing the interior now, going with bucket seats, aftermarket A/C, Phoenix Gold 12" subs and amp, MP3 player, soundproofing, center custom console w/floor shifter, power windows, door locks and antenna and a few other amenities. Hope to be done in time for the summer cruise season.

Keep us posted on your progress.
