its a 72 and i dont know what trans i have thats my question. i wonder if you go by the code to the left where it says turbo hydro hydromatic,mine has m49 to the left

Take a look at the website below, it shows what the different pans look like and should help you identify what trans you have. It could be a turbo 350 or 400, I believe they use the same code.

M49 is either or.
If your tranny has a kick down cable on it, it's a TH350, if no kick down, TH400. |
