Neutral safety switch
Hey Guys, I'm in need of some help here. Well here is my situation I installed a van tilt colunm recently on my pickup, which had 3 on the tree manuel and now I need to install the safety neutral switch. The thing is, is that I don't know where the harness that plugs into the switch is. If I remember right it never had a harness. So how would I be able to install a new harness or where would I located it under the dash? Thanks your help is greatly apprecaited.
Thanks JD |

Re: Neutral safety switch
there should be a purple wirelarge 12gauge coming off the ignition switch// that purple wire goes to neutral safety switch then the purple wire goes to the starter

Re: Neutral safety switch
If your truck was a manual shift, then there are no provisions in your factory harnes for the neutral safety switch.
You can install the NSS on the column, and cut the purple wire cdowns refered to. Use femail spad terminals, it wouldn't matter which wire went on which terminal, all you are doing is opening or closing the circuit. |
