Junk yards in SC

Hello from Canada, I'm heading to SC (Myrtle Beach) and I'm going to have to make a Auto Wreckers trip for some 71 parts. Can anyone tell me if there is a good yard close to Myrtle that might have some 71 parts? I'm looking for box parts.

Re: Junk yards in SC

Mike,
Your timing is perfect, I live in Myrtle Beach and will be calling several salvage yards tomorrow! I purchased a '72 Chevy 5 weeks ago and want to go on a scavenger hunt for some missing parts. When will you be in town? I will let you know if I find anything.

Re: Junk yards in SC

To be honest I just like to get away from the wife and look around. Last March break I went to a yard in Tampa and dam near died when I saw all the squareboys and caddys with so little rust. Up hear in Canada I don't even think of yard play as everything is pretty much rusted out. If I see a whole box in good shape I may grab it, if I can rent a trailer and return it in Buffalo.

Mark if you fire me your number (mike.turner@tel.tdsb.on.ca) as I'll be off line for the week, I'll call you and we can hook up for a look around Are you available during the weekday? Sure looking forward to some plus temps and a 18 hour drive listening to Cruise Control Radio on the iPod. It would be cool to see this board develop into a podcast. (ya I'm a techie too)

I'm leaving tomorrow Thursday and starting to head back on the 16th.
