Re: Chevy on 24’s

I dont like those on trucks either, makes it look like a wagon. 20" is about my limit on a truck.

Donk=Dork.

I agree with the wholehearted work involved in the auto restoration/customization, but some folks should just go back in the house and sit on the couch.

Re: Chevy on 24’s

We see a few cars with oversized rims around here, but no real full on Donks.

I think that is because of the demographics here; most peole with a couple Bennies to rub together are my age or older so the customs are mostly hot rods and classic muscle.

The desire to donk os probably out there, but the age bracket most likely to produce these automotive desecrations can't scratch up the green to do it.

Re: Chevy on 24’s

Come to think of it...they got more money in those wheels than I presently have in my truck, I guess it guess it gives a new meaning to "getting high"

Re: Chevy on 24’s

just because its possible doesnt mean you should. i cant wait till this retarded fad dies out. theres a huge safety issue involved with big wheels. the cars just wont stop anymore due to soo much rolling mass and unsprung weight. nobody ever spends the extra 1200 or so to put the bigger brakes behind those big shiny wheels.not to mention once you put rubber bands for tires on ride quality is gone and you bend wheels every other week from pot holes. i thinks its hillarious when these jackasses ruin a 3 or 4 thousand dollar wheel

Re: Chevy on 24’s

I kinda think this is going to be one of those fads that after it has run its coarse the owners are going to say "Man... I can't believe I really did that."

If they have kids they will probably say... "Dad.. are you sure I'm part of your gene pool?"

Who knows... might even see Napoleon Dynamite drive one of those things.
"Ba donk a donk."

Re: Chevy on 24’s

How do they lift the cars to accept those wheels? I've never seen any pics where you can see the suspension, just pics showing off the bling.
