Tie Rod Mount......wrong side?? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I think I may have attached my tie rod to the wrong side of the center link. I attached mine to the Green arrow side instead of as is shown in this pic (Red arrow).

Do they all mount on this side of the center link?

The way you have the tie rods, (red arrow) is the right way to hook them up.

I put mine on backwards!!........dumb *ss!!

I guess that's what happens when your truck is in boxes for a few years.....you forget how it goes back together!

I just had one of "those moments" and had to go out and check the truck. I put it together correctly

I haven't driven it yet, but I'm sure the guys at the alignment shop would've got a good laugh if I hadn't caught it!

I hate when that happens to me. I'll see something on the board, and then my mind will say, "Hey, you idiot, you didn't do it like that. Way to go genious" Then I have to go run out to the truck to check or else I'll forget and remember 3 months later. This time I happened to have done it correctly
