Re: 85 Tilt column for sale

It is for a auto trans it it is a tilt column. When I bought it I was told it is solid. I couldn't use it due to I have an 87.

Re: 85 Tilt column for sale

The 85 bright switch is on the floor 87 is on the column. And the wiring appeared to be a little different. I just wanted something to bolt right in and with the 85 I would had to do some re-wiring.

Re: 85 Tilt column for sale

If the column is for a floor mounted dimmer it is 83 and older. GM put the dimmer on the column in 84.

Re: 85 Tilt column for sale

Does the column have the wiper control switch on it? If not, like was said before it is for '83 and older (or is it '84?).

Re: 85 Tilt column for sale

It must be 83 or older because that was the other thing I was trying to remember what was different from my 87. I was told it was from an 85. I just got the suburban a few months ago and don't know all the details about them. Thanks for the info.
