1968 50th anniversary 3/4 ton Longhorn Ebay reserve price

My truck was listed on Ebay but I had to end the auction because I couldn't add more descriptions or pictures into the listing. I was told by Ebay to relist my truck, so tomorrow my truck will be listed again on Ebay. I am not sure about the reserve price though... Do you guys think that $2000 is too high or fair?
My 3 yo is in need of some dental work that is going to cost about
$3000 and I am paying out of pocket.

$2,500-3,000,IMHO.We see "rare" and "collectible" all to often used to drum up a sale of one of the million or so of these trucks made.You are armed with the info to back it up and it is a true limited production vehicle...play it up.

No idea on the reserve price, but put up as many detailed pictures as you can. More pictures often equals more bids.
Also, use the GALLERY feature that puts a smaller picture in the search results. It is worth the $$

I would use those words like rare collectible, they help you get more hits when people are searching, a vehicle like this does qualify IMO

To save some money on the listing fee, try to upload the pictures to a place like www.photobucket.com and link to them in your auction description using code like this:

This allows you to get more images in the auction without paying ebay to host them

I just had a look at your Ebay auction , looks good . I think you're starting bid of $500 is too high , people are funny nobody ever wants to be first , i'd start at $100 , remember it's not where it starts , it's where it ends , and you have a reserve . The more people you can get bidding the better the auction works , people will bid more when there competing with someone .
Just my humble opinion as an addicted auction fan .

I agree about the starting bid.

Also, why do you have 'camaro 68 69' in the title? IMO it is a waste of valuable space and ebay can pull your auction and not refund your listing fee for violating policy if anyone reports it. YOur previous attempt had 1,200 views, that is good traffic without resorting to the above listing attempt. Just my $.02

If you are serious about selling it and someone emails you asking what the reserve is, tell them. It may make the difference in a winning bid and you keeping the truck

I guess that I should have asked more questions before listing my truck. As of today I have 1 bid, 684 views and 15 watchers. Does this mean anything to you guys? Also, can you guys tell me if this is a 350 or a 327?

This last bit comes from the Nasty28 site for small block suffix codes. It also lists a 70's 262. I did not think they were making a 262 in the mid '70's. To really find out what you have...look at the casting number on the block on the drivers side, below the head between the firewall and the back of the head. This will take a wire brush, flashlight and possibly a mirror.
