Difference between longbed and Longhorn?
I recently posted a couple of pics of my truck. While doing that, I was playing around with photoshop to see what the truck would look like as a shortbed. I noticed that the length between the back of the rear wheel opening and the end of the bed looked awkward. I compared it to other pics and realized that it looked to be about 8-10" longer than the same area on a shortbed. I know a longbed is longer than a shortbed, but I thought the extra length was between the front of the bed and the rear wheel opening. Is a Longhorn bed longer in both areas? Can I be anymore confusing? I hope this makes sense to someone. Thanks in advance for the replies..........................sixnine.

the longhorn bed measures 103" from the front panel to the gate, & is on a 133" wb frame.....6" longer than the standard long bed. I dont beleive the area you have circled is any different, but never have checked it! here is a link to a few shots of mine.... http://community.webshots.com/user/hotrodhorn

It is longer there than a shortbed. Someone posted some pics of a longbed cut down to a shortbed and they cut it in that area. It has been so long ago I don't remember who posted it.

The area indicated is longer on a LWB than on a SWB, however, it is the same on a LWB and a Longhorn.
