Re: After Market Gas Gauge
Reckon they have to be amatched set. As I was going to purchase an in tank float ascending unit. Clerk in formed me that a fuel gage is required for the unit to read correctly that is recommende by the manufacture of the unit.....my .02%

Re: After Market Gas Gauge
That gauge will not work with your stock sender. Up until around 65 the stock sender operates at IIRC 0-30 ohms, then around 65 the senders changed to 0-90 ohms. You're probably going to have to go with an aftermarket sender to match your gauge. Not sure what to say about the fuel line not knowing if you have an original tank or not.

Re: After Market Gas Gauge
There are a couple of ways to go about it. The easiest would be to locate your new sender in another spot and leave the original there so you can utilize the fuel pickup tube. The other way would be to remove the pickup tube from the original and drill a hole and solder it into the new one. You could also try and remove the sender itself from the original assembly and replace it with the the new aftermarket piece. That way you would still have the original mounting plate with the pickup tube in it, and the new sender attached to it. I hope that was easy enough to understand. If you still have trouble post up some pics, and then it may be easier to figure out.
