Chassis Paint???
There was another thread where a board member said he used something called "Chassis Saver" paint from Auto Zone. I went to Auto Zone and the refused to do a search on his computer to see which store carries the stuff, or if it is even available around here. I can't remember who posted the info but his chassis looked really good. Anyone remember who that might have been?

Re: Chassis Paint???
Thx for the info so quick! Has anyone used Eastwood's chassis kits? I was tossing around the possibility of using them too. Can you guys and gals post pics of your chassis? My 68 will be a daily driver so I am looking for something that will hold up well. I was going to powdercoat my chassis but it seems that powdercoating dosen't hold up well to rock chips and dings.

Re: Chassis Paint???
Nothing Beats Dupont Epoxy Primer With A Dupont Imron Color Coat. Especially If You Sandblast The Parts Before Painting. This Is A Lifetime Paint Job And Always Looks Wet.

Re: Chassis Paint???
I saw the word picture and could not resist. Here is the frame on my 82 after sandblasting, primer, putty, and a coat of PPG paint. Here is anouther one just for fun. Ignore the dust and water spots on the second picture and the bed bottom is not painted with the same paint (it is just spray can painted I think but it was a while since and I cant remember)

Re: Chassis Paint???
Picture time! I used Eastwoods chassis kit...the stuff is ok, but nowhere near as durable as por-15. I'll be stripping it back down and doing it the right way in a bit. The A-arms are topcoated with Rustoleum Hammered gray...love this stuff! Killer texture, and veins throughout, cant really see it in the pics...
the 'before' pics show the wrath of the salty winter MO roads...had to move back to CA to bring my baby back to life
