Turbo 350 question

Guys I have a TH350 starting to slip in 3rd gear after it is driven for a while (say 15 minutes or so). I checked to make sure the fluid is good, not burnt and full so nothing apparent so I guess I have clutches on their way out..so the question I have is this. my truck is a 1972 4x4, if I want to pick up a good used one, what is the span of years that they made the TH350 trans with the correct adapter to an NP205 transfer case?

PS- I service the tranny not very long ago, changing the filter, gasket and refilling with fresh fluid. I did notice quite a bit of slude in the pan...bummer.

Thanks for your help!

Jim

Re: Turbo 350 question

Any th350 for a 4x4 will work.I took a 2wd tranny and converted it to a 4x4 th350 too.The adapter un bolts from both the t case and tranny, just keep it on the t case and bolt the new tranny up to it.
