5.5 x 4 inch drop?
chevjayfsd,
Loved the stance on your truck! How did you pull off the 5.5 x 4 inch drop? Tires? I've got a 67 Fleetside that I want to have a similar rake to - so far I'd been looking at a 2 or 2.5 x 4 inch drop. Suggestions? |

I can't decide if I want to cut the frame and make it a shortbed or not. I've done that with a '72 C-20 I had a few years back. Talk about getting people's attention. One guy thought it was an original 3/4 ton shortbed and offered me way more than it was worth, but I couldn't take it. Anyway, wether or not I cut the frame, I'm still just gonna freshen it up. It's got a warmed over 350. Holley intake, Edelbrock carb. Mild cam. Automatic on the column(used to be a 3-on-the-tree). Plan on putting some large diameter wheels on it, do some bodywork and shoot the whole thing in black suede. Then I'll drive it like that daily until my wife gets a new Suburban or Excursion (sorry guys, but we have 4 kids with one on the way!) next spring and I'll inherit her Expedition. When that happens, I'll probably dissasemble the truck and do everything right. You can bet I'll be using this site regularly! Thanks for the support!
