Looking for Alternator brackets for 67-8 SBC
I need to find a set of brackets for the heads with no accessory holes. THIS IS NOT A WANT TO BUY THREAD, please do not say you have a set you'll sell otherwise it will get deleted and locked again. I am looking for a site seller who has a repop that I can buy or IF you want to give me a set of your old brackets, I can pay shipping? Thanks in advance for any help, and Krue for helping out with the wording to keep this thread open!

Re: Looking for Alternator brackets for 67-8 SBC
Okay I'll play. There is a bracket that bolts to the exhaust manifold. I think for the alternator or another type bracket for an alternator. Then there is a bracket for tension to keep the belt tight to the alternator. What other brackets you looking for. Also altnator or Generator?

Re: Looking for Alternator brackets for 67-8 SBC
Look in the street rod magazines. They make a set that bolt to the water pump and the front two intake bolts. I have them on my truck. Alan Grove is the name of the brackets. If you want, I can take pics of them tomorrow. Let me know.

Re: Looking for Alternator brackets for 67-8 SBC
I may be able to help out. I will be getting a 350 I have ready to go in my Brother's 84 Suburban and I think it has the brackets you are after. I will not need them, but I want to compare them to what is on my 67 Burb first to make sure they are the right parts.

Re: Looking for Alternator brackets for 67-8 SBC
Well, cool enough, someone donated my $25 so I guess I can pay (for the bracket) except now this'll need to go into the parts forum? I do not really have a preference on repop or original. Long story, but I sold a truck and in the process of making sure it was road ready to be driven back to TX, I found out the PO hacked the hole in the head for the alt to bolt to. Rather than pull the heads to get a good hole, I tried to redrill and tap. Needless to say I was in the water jacket in no time!! I pulled out a set of 68 327 heads I had (newly rebuilt and $600!!) I bolt them on and now the newer style alt bracket will not work. I have the ramhorn with the two holes facing forward, so the lower bracket goes from the water pump to the holes in the ex man, then there is the top bracket. I need both. The guy is flying in SUNDAY, so I running short of time. I think I may have it figured out. Interested in the aftermarket one, I like the idea of low slung and out the way. Let's see picts!

I have the brackets, but I'm not sure if they will get to you in time.
