"craigslist.com" BOY...you're really out of touch with scrounging for parts...LOL! Check it out! You could move into a town, plug in your computer and have your house furnished by the end of the day with free stuff from craigslist!

Re: What do you want to See in Truck Magazines?Give me your ideas!
<<This is just what the "Low buck truck build" is but I was givin a pair of rear load bags from PORTERBUILT. So far to get it safe and on the road was about $905 in cluding registration.>>
I stopped following it when you bought a new dizzy instead of either fixing the one you had or trying to find one from the junkyard. We could argue all day about what your time is worth but most guys doing a budget build have more time than money. "Low buck" does equate to "fast" build. Only a fast build will make good press so the two are almost mutually exclusive. The way to make good press and a good story is to write about the junkyard experience which most "Low buck" guys can relate to as well. Just my 0.02! Don't take this as criticism of what you are doing because you provide EXCELLENT content to this site and are a true craftsman. I am just trying to make my point about what I feel a true "Low buck" build would be.

Since you mentioned distributors, this would make a great article. Converting your points dizzy to an HEI. Start out with a HEI and go through a rebuild and how to properly setup one without sending it to a shop. Then have steps and how-to for modding the truck's wire harness and properly hooking up one. Then follow up with timing and tuning. Out of all the things I have seen, this is the one thing that seems to not get enough attention.

I looke at those two, they are way to expensive, where I live, I can pick something '67-'77 for around 500.00-900.00 running with a V-8!. I believe the low-buck build will be a '74 or so with a V-8.
