Half-Off Day at Pick-Your-Part,got the goods

I just went there for a visor and the place was a beehive of activity.Turns out to be 1/2 off day.Found my perfect visor and a rams horn to replace a cracked one. $27 both out the door.

While I was leaving they brought in a REAL NICE GMC1500 1969:
Another '69 had the original radio:
Wish I wasn't in a hurry,I would have gotten a fender,and the radio.

I'm sorely tempted to go back for the grill ,fender etc from that last one ,lots of brand new parts on there. The vultures where circling though.

Damn, I wish I had junkyards like that around here. Last time I went junkyard hopping was 4-5 years ago and the 73-87 stuff was wearing real thin and the 67-72 stuff was almost non existant.

That one is in Sun Valley on Tuxford near where the 5 goes over SanFernando Rd. Half price all weekend too.

Re: Half-Off Day at Pick-Your-Part,got the goods

Went back 3 hours later and the real nice '72 was stripped, almost as good a job as parking in East L.A. overnight; 250 engine/350 trans gone,my right fender gone, most everything else stripped off by these human piranas.Aftermarket grill was nice but cheap and already showing some rust.
>> Didn't want to come home empty handed so I paid $5.85 for this radio. Is it original?
