Airbag valve mounting questions

Got my frame down here yesterday, and am re-thinking my valve mounting. I did have my valves mounted on the outside of the framerails, within like 2-3 feet of the bags. Now im thinking, that i want to mount my valves very close to, if not directly to the tank, to clean the frame rails up a bit, and make wiring and plumbing easy. The reason i had them mounted close to the bags, is so that they were plenty fast. Well, Ive got 3/8" valves, 1/2" lines, 2 - 5gallon tanks, and 175 psi pressure switch. Would i lose that much speed mounting them to the tanks?

Re: Airbag valve mounting questions

ok, now how about some pics of valves mounted directly to the tanks. just curious. i have 2 - 5 gallon skinny tanks. ill mount each side on the corresponding tank. the tanks will be tied together. just for some ideas. i think the tanks are going right behind my notch, while the gas tank sits on top of the rails behind the airtanks. yeah.. thats what ill do.

Wow 7Deuce,

That's the first time I've seen a shot of your set-up. I really like the motor parts theme you've got going on in there. Valves, connecting rods for shock mounts, and what looks like sections of a flexplate for something in front of the tires. Awesome!!
