F/S: Bedside Toolbox/Stowage Door & Compartment
I have a bedside toolbox stowage compartment with door I picked up from BAD4X4 a few weeks back. I needed to get some measurements for tooling new hinges to be made for my 70 GMC & was planning on using it of a future project that fell thru........
It has a slight crease in the door, you should be able to see it in the pictures, but everything is solid with no rust, the box is solid too. The latch is in good working condition. It includes the curved stop bar and hardware to keep it horizontal when open, 3 hinges, It have the lock, back clip, but no key. A replacement barrel from a 55 thru 66 truck will work as original. Just remove the rear clip and replace locking arm on a new barrel. If you need more pics let me know! $260 shipped

Chad, I don't have a truck that the toolbox will fit but I was wondering if you could send me a couple of pictures of the lock cylinder. I would be grateful. Also, is there a combination of letters & numbers stamped into the outside of the lock case? Thanks for your time. ttt LockDoc (leon429@netins.net)

Re: F/S: Bedside Toolbox/Stowage Door & Compartment
I'll take some shots tonight and post them tomorrow!
I send a detail shot of the back as I said all that is required is a clip removal of the back of the barrel to move the lock stop to another barrel for the tool door. Cheers Chad

Heres a shot of the toolbox lock.
No numbers on it anywhere. If the key is lost just remove the back clip and place on a new barrel from a door! Walaaaa - new toolbox lock! Cheers Chad

Thanks Chad. That's what I was wondering. For a replacement lock cylinder an earlier door lock will have to be used. Most short door lock cylinders from 1955- 1966 will work. The tool box locking arm won't fit the 1967 up door locks because the post on the back is different. I hope you don't mind me adding this. LockDoc
