Tranny mount

Went to change the tranny mount on my 1/2 ton 84 silverado today.
700r4 tranny 350 motor. Originally a 305. Oreilly had the hardest time locating a tranny mount. He finally found one that fits and said it was for a 3/4 ton with a 400 or diesel. Why would my truck take this mount ? Does it have some kind of hd tow package ?
The option list in glove box only list stuff like hd springs.

sounds to me like the parts guy was either lookin in the wrong place or he doesn't know what the hell he is doing. Mid 80's Chevs with small blocks and OD trans are a dime a dozen...a mount shouldn't be hard to find at all!!
