68 Rams Horn RS

Anyone know anything about interchangeability with the 68 rams horn right side, I here there prone to breaking. Mine did and I want to replace with similar without having to have some exhaust work also. O'Reilly's has one ordered for me (Doorman) but it has 4 bolt holes in the center.

I don't know much about these except it would be better if you posted a picture and mentioned what engine it's off of. Mine broke and I just got this one at the local self-serve junk yard for $14.

You can buy new repop ramhorns but they all have AIR holes (and come with plugs for them).

Re: 68 Rams Horn RS

Ah, yes. That looks just like mine. I did a search last night on Google. And found some from Doorman. So I was in O'Reilly's at lunch looking at the book and ordering one. Picked it up at 5:00. It has AIR holes and came with plugs. Fit perfectly. There was a cust. in there and he said the right side was known to break. So hopefully the $100.00 aftermarket will hold up.

It's a 68 3/4 ton 2WD. 283CI w/can type oil filter and mid 70s 350 heads.

I bought a set of Mr. Gasket gaskets cause I diddn't like the looks of the Fel-Pro's (been there, done that with Pontiacs). Got them installed, then read the little piece of paper and it said the manu. recommends not using a gasket. Oh, well.
