Big BlockHeaders Recomendations

Hey guys,

I am looking to upgrade to headers for my 72 402 and I would like some recomendations. I have been looking at Hooker Compitation. I have heard a lot about headers having exaust leaks and I really donot wat that problem. I would like to get some good headers the first time and avoid that problem if possible. Thank you for any recomendations

argg, I can't remember the brand, I will try look it up right away, but I think it's headman or flowtech.. but anyway, they have 2 inch primaries, while most others are only 1 7/8 or 1 3/4 and they are very inexpensive for having a 2" primary! get more HP for you buck.

I totally roccommend those.

So the bigger the primary tubes the bigger the HP? How abut the coating is it worth paying more for it?

Re: Big BlockHeaders Recomendations

Also, the thicker the flanges the less it deforms and therefore th efewer the leaks. If you're forced to pick ones with thinner flanges, make sure you use some high temp RTV on both sides of the gasket.
