Interesting unknown frame numbers
I was under the Longhorn dropping the tranny, and I discovered an interesting number that i can not figure out.
I know you can't read it in the photo..but it reads; 3977002 130 2 2616 It is located on the passenger side under the cab...you can see my wrench and the head of a bolt sticking up on top...that is the tranny cross member...the forward most bolt in the TH400 location. The 1 could be I for all I know... I know it is not the VIN...nor partial vin. I know it is not the build date of the truck...her birthday is in June. Does any one have any idea as to what it could be? I think the i30 could be that it is a one ton...but that is about all I can fugure on my own. |

I think it is a part number for the assembly process.

Maybe GM put it there so we would have something differnet to talk about and ask questions of each other??
Actually, a part number would have been the best guess I could come up with also.
