I took off the steering column and replaced the canceling cam and the other piece (not sure what it's called, but it is where the turn signal handle attaches, and clicks up and down). Now the turn signals don't work upfront, and when I hit the brakes, both of the turn signals up front turn on like brake lights!
Anyone venture a guess why?

Since you took apart the column, it's probably a short, but my '69 did the same thing once, and it was because my hazard flasher (plugged into the fuse box) was dead, and the hazard button was pushed.

I had my hazard button partially pushed in and the parking lights did the same thing when I hit the breaks, but I also had a light burnt out and I changed it...It had to be one of those two things. Sorry I didn't narrow it down.
