I finally got my 69 GMC out of the snow bank last night.

Does someone have a picture of how the OE battery hold down works?

Sorry, couldn't help it.

My battery hold down is a short bolt clamping a wide piece of metal to the bottom of the battery. No actual pics, sorry.

I posted some pics here It's on an optima, but all the same except I bent mine down a tad...

I thought the same thing about the battery hold down...they just did things differently back then. Is there a common mod on these trucks to hold the battery a little bit more secure?
