I am looking at a set of dynomax cermic coated headers they are out of a wrecked truck not damaged in anyway but covered with oil and antifreeze and stuff. Can they be cleaned up and with what would one use? I think I can get them cheap.

Use '00' steel wool and some windex to wipe or scrub them down. You will never truly get them as shiney as the light colored grey that they were new, but it will clean them up pretty well.

soap and water first then regular (mothers)metal polish then soap and water again and they should come up pretty good

For powdercoating, I use a "safe for clearcoat" car wax. Not sure if it would work for ceramic, but it makes dull powders nice and shiny again.

I wonder if Never-Dull would work , sure works on chrome pipes and not abrasive.

i have anew pair & the instructions say to use warm water & soap.

never-dull doesnt do a whole lot. they make a special ceramic polish-i think jegs sells it, but its not cheap.
