Gmc front end
I was told that you could put a 71 GMC Grill on the front of a 67. With the 67-68 fenders and hood. I thought the 71 GMC had fenders and hood like a 71-72 chevrolet which are diffrent. Can I be used on both ??

Re: Gmc front end
All GMC fenders and 67-68 Chevy fenders can be interchanged (67's haven't got the marker lights). 69-72 Chevy fenders are the same.

Re: Gmc front end
the hood did chainge in 69, but the added trim, or the large top bar on the 69 - 72 GMC made up the difference.

Re: Gmc front end
You'll need to use the trim from a 67'68 grill, but otherwise, yes.
If you want the larger grill trim of the 71 grill, then you'll need a 69 - 72 hood. |

Re: Gmc front end
Listen to Longhorn, he has it right. The 69-72 gmc grill has a different topbar that can only be used with the 69-72 hood. If you want to keep the hood you have you can use the 67-68 top bar on the other grill by removing the stainless top bar from the grill and putting the 67-68 topbar on it. If you want the 69-72 trim you will have to change to the 69-72 hood, the 69-72 grill support, and the 69-72 hood latch.
Easy as pie, Rg

Re: Gmc front end
I love the GMC front too. Do you need to change anything on the radiator support from the dual headlight's?

Yes " Krue " It was,but just about everyone around here, has thoughts on Pearl Harbor. Were you in the Pacific fleet at that time? 7 Dec. 1941 Were you on a ship ? Like the USS Arizona or USS Utah. Even president Roosevelt is remembered. Theres lots to see in Oahu. Sorry I better remember this is a truck web site. And stop. But thanks for being there for the US.

Re: Gmc front end
All GMC grilles interchange from 67-72.The top trim (seperate) goes with appropriate hood.

Re: Gmc front end
Kind of an older thread but I found this pic of a 68 with a later grill on it. Or possibly a 69-72 truck with the 67-68 hood... This is a nice looking truck...
