Please help! Problem with dragging a lowered LWB? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey. I havent posted here on a while but im hoping for some help... I have a 67' LWB fleet and I was wondering if anyone has any problem dragging with a lowered LWB?

Example: pulling off the road onto a road that goes downhill-do you high center and drag? I was looking at doing a 2 1/2 spindle drop on the front and a 3" drop on the rear-would I have any problems? Thanks alot-I reall appreciate it...

PS-i'm looking at doing something like 275/45/20's? Also, whats the lug spacing for a 6lug? Im asking because I was looking at picking up a set of wheels off of a newer SUV (Denali, H2, etc)

Please point me in the correct direction!!! Thanks alot!

you will be fine. that isnt much to worry about 3 inches wont give you any trouble. Plus the truck isnt THAT long

Watch the centers on later model wheels.They have a smaller center than the originals and don't always fit over the center locating hub.I think someone had a set machined out to fit but I can't remember who.

Thanks guys. I just dont want to build up my 67' and lower it and find out that its "to low" (even though thats not possible.....) and i cant drive it anywhere. I am afraid of dragging between the cab and the bed and destroying all the body work i've already done. Thanks again!
