I'll probably take a flaming for this, but no, they're not easy. They are simple. I do not remember what year GM started but that 76 may have glued in u-joints. You have to take a propane torch and heat the glue until it squeezes out. If someone has done them in the past, this will already have been done.

Changing a u-joint is very simple, but kind of delicate. Some fellows use medeival practices and wind up knocking things out of balance. You need to be diligent when installing them so you don't bend the ears on the driveshaft and so that you don't lay a needle bearing down and bind up the joint.
