Can anyone help me ID the rear end in my truck. I don't believe it is the original one that came with the truck (72 3/4 Ton C20 Deluxe Custom Camper).

Looks just like the original equipment positraction 12 bolt in my 71 1/2 ton?

Yes, that is a GM 12 bolt. It would not be original to your 3/4 ton truck.

The previous owner told me the orginal truck (2WD 3/4 ton) had been converted to 4WD and the parts used were from a 1/2 ton Blazer. If this is the case, what all do I have that may be 1/2 ton?

Also, here is a picture of the transfer case. Can anyone ID it?

I'm pretty sure the transmission is a THM 350 from the shape of the pan.

Transfer case is an NP205. I assume that you have the 6 lug front (Dana 44) and rear (12 bolt) 1/2 ton axles. The tranny and t-case also came from the 1/2 ton 4X4, although they are the same stuff that would have been used in a 3/4 ton 4X4 of this era.

Finally got a chance to get a photo of the front end. There are 10 bolts on the cover. Does anyone have any idea what it is?

Front end is a Dana 44.

They used dana44 front axles in both 1/2 and 3/4 tons during these years. From the last pic it looks like you have a sway bar on the front I don't think these were availible on 4x4s until 73. My 72 Sub 4x4 1/2 ton doesn't have one but some 3/4 ton axles from a 74 pickup that I got have a sway bar. 2wds got a sway bar in the 60's sometime.

OK so with that being said what is mine?
Is it a Dana 60 or a Dana 70?

If thats the stock rear axle from your 3/4 ton 4x4 it should be a Dana 60 rear
