correct application, bumper brackets

I know the rear brackets are different on a 71 4x4 short bed vs 2 wheel drive. somewhere I got the idea that the front were the same though. Is this correct or not. Thanks

Re: correct application, bumper brackets

It seems like the fronts are the same. And yes the rear are different due to a 4x4 having spring hangers in the way. A coil spring truck doesn't have this issue.

Re: correct application, bumper brackets

The front brackets are different between 2wd and 4x4 to clear the front spring hangers.

The inner rear brackets are different between the SWB 4x4 and a coil spring 2wd or a LWB leaf spring 2wd. The 4wd SWB and 2wd SWB leaf spring brackets are the same. I believe the outer brackets may be the same. This assumes the sport bumper, not the step and tow variety
