What is the stock stall converter in a th 350??

i believe they are in the 1000-1200 rpm range

Stall speed depends on a lot of things, including engine torque. The higher the torque, the higher the stall speed. A stock converter on a stock 350 stalls somewhere around 1500-1700. Behind a big block, the same converter might stall at 2000.
