Question 04 Chevy with Superchips 2815

I have an 04 Chevy 1/2 ton 4-wd crew cab with the 5.3 liter. Does anyone have any experiences with the new superchips 2815 programmer. I drive around 1,000 miles a week so i need to get the best mileage possible. I'm not worried about boosting power because i have the 67 for that, i need to get more mileage out of it. I just wanted to see if anyone was using one and what kind of fuel mileage improvement they got? Thanks for any help!!

Re: 04 Chevy with Superchips 2815

This may not be of much help, but I did alot of research on these type of chips/programmers and found that most people said the power was greatly improved, but thier milage only improved slightly (1 to 3 mpg). I don't remember if that exact Superchip was one that I researched, but here are a couple of links to check out.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Well hell, if I could get more power and not lose mileage I would think its a bonus!

Re: 04 Chevy with Superchips 2815

I have a 2000 extended cab 5.3 liter with a Superchip installed and between that and the k&n airfilter I went from 13 city 18 highway to 18 city 22 highway. Not to mention better throttle response, and enough power to turn over 22" wheels with no problem. Couldn't do any spinning without the chip.
