Having front end work done
Im having new front axle u-joints put in my Blazer, while their at it
i am having the bearings repacked and new brake pads and rotors turned ( if necessary ). Shop quoted me $429 + tax. $ 130 Less if the brakes don't need work. Does that seem reasonable. I will check the rotor thickness tonight before it goes in, Does anyone know the Minimum they can be? It's a 72 Blazer 4x4 Thanks. |

unless u have a rotor micrometer dont bother measuring them. anything else wont be accurate. dunno on the minimum thickness but if those rotors are original theres a good chance that they are rusting form the inside out and cant be cut to a good surface therefore u will need new rotors

The minimum rotor thikness will be cast into the rotor itself.

I checked the rotor thickness and I doubt they are gonna make it. ( according to the service manual - 1.230" min )
What should I expect to pay for new high quality rotors? |
